Een viertal bedrijven maakt er gebruik van. Het wordt via het ruim 2 km lange Afwateringskanaal gevoed met overtollig Dommel- en Genderwater dat via het Beatrixkanaal wordt afgevoerd naar het Wilhelminakanaal. <br /> <br /> [[Bestand:Beatrixjachthaven.jpg|300px|thumb|right|De jachthaven in het Beatrixkanaal]]<br /> <br /> Van de officiële opening in mei 1940 door Prins Bernard is niets terechtgekomen, omdat de oorlog uitbrak. De tweede dag van de oorlog gingen vier splinternieuwe bruggen de lucht in. Nog in datzelfde jaar werd het kanaal na herstel van de bruggen zonder plichtplegingen in gebruik genomen. Bij de bevrijding van Eindhoven in september 1944 liepen de bruggen weer schade op.<br /> <br /> Het Beatrixkanaal is 8,6 km lang.
